No good news

Aren’t there some sick people out there.

All over the news today are reports about the killer of a five year old. How blood and bone fragments were found in his house. I cannot imagine what her parents must be going through. The torment of knowing that some creep has his hands on their precious daughter must be absolutely awful.

Then there was the report about the long running soap opera star being arrested on historic rape charges of a 15 year old back in 1967. That follows on from the infamous Jimmy Saville child abuse scandal.  Unfortunately those accusations were made after he had died so he could not be called to account.  The 81 year old Coro actor claims to be deeply horrified by the accusations that he vehemently denies. He says he will fight the charges. Another veteran entertainer, 83 year old Rolf Harris, is also said to deny similar allegations.

And how about this, thank goodness it is in America.

There is a gun company that aims most of its products at children, sorry about the bad pun there.
Apparently it is to encourage a ‘gun safety’ attitude in young shooters, to become knowledgeable and respectful hunters.

Long-time child advocate commented that marketing weapon specifically for children is mind boggling. The nation that is debating gun control laws and advocates background checks willingly allows children to handle guns. Like the four year old recently who shot and accidentally killed his little sister. Mum said she didn’t know that the gun was loaded.

Also,  from the ‘Only in America file’ is the story about a woman who disappeared  11 years ago and whose family believed and grieved that she had died. What she had done one day after she had dropped her daughter off at school was to decided  that  she had had enough and she took off with a group of homeless people. Now after being homeless for a couple of years she turned herself into the police saying she was s missing person.

And her family, well unsurprisingly, they want nothing to do with her
