Soap box time...

Gee some people are rude.

Writer Hillary Mantell, and no I have no idea who she is or what she has written. I googled her name to discover that she is  the first author to win the Man Booker Prize and Costa Book Award in the same year. Well so much for the taste of the selection committee I say. Mantell told an audience at the British Museum that the Duchess of Cambridge, 31, ‘appeared to have been designed by a committee and built by craftsmen, with a perfect plastic smile and the spindles of her limbs hand-turned and gloss-varnished’.

The TV news was full of it and there was a clip of this writer actually saying the words.
She sounded as though she was reading an excerpt from a story, rather than actually making a delivering an address. She went on to comment that the ‘painfully-thin’ duchess was ‘a shop-window mannequin, with no personality of her own, entirely defined by what she wore’.

She also likened the royals to pandas in a zoo, saying: ‘Our current royal family doesn’t have the difficulties in breeding that pandas do, but pandas and royal persons alike are expensive to conserve and ill-adapted to any modern environment

Well Mantell by the look of your picture it is you who look like a mannequin, one that has seen better days and should be relegated to the scrap heap.

Your teeth are too big, your hair, a very bad cut  and it is more than time that you made an appointment to get the roots touched up.

Personally I wouldn’t read any of your books even if I was paid to.
There...take that for being rude to someone who has become very well loved by the general population in England and by the future king himself.
